Fields of action on DG'S five Point Program

1. Membership Development & Club Extension

 To achieve a membership growth of not less than 500 new quality members to the District.
 To address the course of dropping existing Lions and thereby minimizing the declining of the District Membership.
 To extend 10 new Lions Clubs

2. Youth Development & Empowerment

 To provide job opportunities for 1000 youth under 'Sinha Saviya' program.
 To create a 'Lion's Job Bank' and provide a wide range of skilled and semi-skilled job opportunities in the job market, both internationally and locally.
 To open five (5) Tertiary Education and skills development institutions in Ratnapura, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Ampara and Batticaloa.
 To recognize talent and creativity by offering opportunities in aesthetic programs

3. Signature Projects

 To organize six (6) Mega Multi-service Projects in Colombo, Ratnapura, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Ampara and Batticaloa.
 To organize eye camps for children/students under the Lions' 'Sight First' program and provide 1000 spectacles for those in need.
 To distribute 10,000 spectacles within the District for the needy.
 To distribute 500 wheel chairs within the District for the needy.
 To develop 25 schools, selected under the 'Sinha Schools' program and sponsor such development.
 To construct and facilitate two (2) Modern Eye Hospitals with the funding of Lions International (LCIF).
 To establish an Elder's Home and a vocational Training Center for the Handicapped.
 To establish a 'Foster Parent' scheme under the 'Sinha Sarana' program and facilitate 1000 school children.

4. Women's Welfare and Empowerment

 Training programs for self employment
 Pre-natal and Post natal programs
 Home Management programs
 Happy Family programs
 Nutrition and Health programs

5. International Understanding & Cooperation

 To address the Lion's Image Building concept of 'WE SERVE' through hoardings, boards on principal highways and locations, media advertising.
 To print and distribute 100,000 nos. Exercise books among students, highlighting the Lions' concept and objectives through Lions Clubs.
 To print and publish a monthly magazine incorporating all lionistic activities of the District.
 To organize a number of 'Peace Marathons' and 'Cycle Races' within the District.
